Part-Time, Full Time

The Dauphin Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to our mixed animal practice. Our RVTs are the backbone of our clinic and play a vital role in our success. We value the extensive training you have received and want to ensure you can utilize those skills to their fullest potential. We offer opportunities for advancement, encourage ongoing professional development, and strongly support specialization in your areas of interest.

Compensation Summary (based on Full Time Employment)

  • Starting wage: $21-$30/hour (negotiable based on experience)

  • Annual Profit Share Bonuses

    • The frequency of payment and the amount depend on clinic performance and employee evaluation.

  • Annual Cost of Living Increase

    • Effective January 1st annually.

    • Rate depends on the cost of living/inflation rate and the Annual MVMA Non-DVM Wage Report.

  • Paid Leave

    • Sick leave - 5 days annually.

    • Personal leave - 2 days annually.

    • Vacation Leave - 10 days annually (after completing 1st year of employment, negotiable based on experience)

  • Employer Paid Benefits (after three months of employment)

    • Coverage includes life insurance, dental, optical, ambulance, prescription drug plans, and travel health.

  • Staff Discount

    • Pet Food & Supplies at cost

    • Discounted medication, vaccinations, in-practice services and procedures

    • Free wellness exam, euthanasia, dispensing fees, and collection fees.

  • Mileage reimbursement

  • Paid Annual Association Dues (MVMA & MVTA)

  • Annual Continuing Education Allowance

  • Uniform provided with annual top-up allowance

  • Paid Industry Memberships (e.g. Vet Girl, Fear Free)

  • Regular review of compensation

    • After a three-month probationary period

    • Six months from the employee's start date

    • and annually with Employee Evaluations.

Required Qualifications

  • Completed RVT diploma from a CVMA-accredited veterinary technologist program

  • MVTA & MVMA membership in good standing

  • 15 hours of CE required annually

  • New grads welcome!
